Honey.Walnut.Shrimp.
It really is as easy as it sounds. Should take no more than 20 minutes to prepare and cook. This recipe serves 2 people, adjust as needed.
Ingredients:
1 pound of shrimp (thawed, peeled)
1 egg
3 tablespoons of cornstarch
6 oz of oil (canola/vegetable)
6 oz of walnuts (whole or chopped)
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon honey
4 oz water
1/2 can of condensed milk
3 tablespoons of mayo
1/4 teaspoon honey mustard
Instructions:
1. Put all of the oil in a frying pan, set to medium-high heat.
2. In a small sauce pan, place the walnuts, water, sugar and honey. Bring to a boil, and turn off.
3. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the shrimp
4. Mix the egg and cornstarch, and dip the shrimp until fully coated
5. Drop the shrimp in the frying pan - fry evenly on both sides
6. Bring the shrimp out of the pan and set on a napkin to dry.
7. In a mixing bowl, mix the condensed milk, mayo, and honey mustard - heat in the microwave
8. Toss the shrimp into the mixing bowl, or put on a serving plate and drizzle the sauce over it.
9. Top with walnuts.
10. Enjoy!
